"I am an expert in sorting"
In order to improve the sorting ability, help the students learn to classify things according to certain standards, and form the habit of sorting things, No.2 Experimental Primary School held a class meeting with the theme of "I am an expert in sorting" in grade 2 on January 2.
In the beginning, the teachers and students shared their feelings about two different pictures. Many students said that the clean and tidy room made people feel happy, while the messy room made people depressed. Therefore, we should learn to organize, which could make our life in order. Then, the teachers began the competition of packing school bag. Some students did a good job. So the teachers invited them to show their tips about sorting. Later, the students quickly got it. At last, the whole class read a song about sorting. Students felt the happiness of sorting.
William James, the American psychologist, said:“ Sow an action, reap a habit; sow a habit, reap a character, sow a character, and you reap a destiny.” Through this activity, our students from grade 2 understood that: Sorting can cultivate our management ability, and make our life more comfortable. In a word, Let’s do an expert of sorting together.
