Making friends with books, communicating with wisdom
Bathing in the bright sunshine, the opening ceremony of the 15th Reading Festival was held in SIP. No.2 Experimental Primary School. Children wore different colourful costumes to celebrate the annual festival.
In the opening ceremony, we first enjoyed a traditional Chinese poem”Mulan” which performed by Jiang Jinling from Class Four Grade Five. Next, some little actors showed us a wonderful part of the drama The Metamorphosis of Floppy King, which won the first prize in the Suzhou Textbook Drama Contest. Then, the teachers from Grade Four read us a poetry I have a motherland, I have a mother tongue. The beautiful melodies and shocking words make everyone indulged in their mother tongue.
Finally, our principal Ms. Wu announced the opening of the 15th Reading Festival and the 4th Drama Festival of No.2 Experimental Primary School. She sincerely hoped that the books will become the best friend of every student in our school. Then, our vice-principal Ms.Chen introduced the activities of each grade. She hoped every child could make friends with books and grow with wisdom.
